11  Skincare Hacks That Will Give You Better Skin

Having beautiful skin begins with having a skincare routine specific to your skin type. What I find to be most important is having a routine that can be easily followed. The secret to beautiful skin is to be consistent with your skincare routine, as the products will need some time to work, roughly between 3-6 month.

I understand how difficult it can be to stay consistent with a routine, because of all your other commitments. I was always distracted by other activities like work, social media and family, I neglected my skin. I figured that I could only be consistent if I had a daily list to follow, so I decided to create a list of my everyday skincare to do list. which is what I would like to share with you in this post.

Easy hacks to follow

Cleanse

Using a face cleanser is important to remove impurities and unclog pores. Clogged up pores usually cause us to have pimples and the essence of having better skin is having it spotless. When choosing a face cleanser, make sure to choose one that is right for your skin type.

Use a face/ body scrub

Face and body scrubs are so easy to use, but choosing the one that fits your style is so important. Use a body scrub before a shower or in the shower, remember to apply the scrub while massaging your skin in circular motions.

Use a toner

Toners have been recently said to not be necessary because your cleansers are meant to be potent. I still like using a toner, because they stay on the skin longer than a cleanser or face scrub.

Use a face serum

Choosing a serum really depends on your skin type (dry, oily, combination) and your budget. A good serum can surely make a difference to your skincare game, so go shop around until you fall in love with one.

Moisturise

Anytime I read up something on skincare, MOISTURISE is always so present. That is simply because a good moisturiser is so important and your skin needs to stay moisturised all the time for it to be healthy and beautiful. Don’t sleep on finding a good moisturiser.

Sun protection

You spend hours taking care of your skin, but then the good results are reversed after spending hours in the sun without sun protection. Always apply sunscreen before stepping out. Ignore the fact that your moisturiser claims to have SPF.

Never sleep with makeup

Have you ever waken up the next morning with makeup from the night before and you still looked good? Well, have you also woken up the next morning and noticed the glow in your skin (because you removed your makeup and exfoliated your skin)? Jumping in your comfy bed might be the first thing you want to do after a night out drinking and dancing, but don’t sleep with make-up as this can result in premature ageing.

Drink water

The number of times you’ve heard you have to drink plenty of water to have beautiful skin is countless and that’s what I also want to tell you. The best way to do this is to carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go.

Skin supplements

Using a ton of products daily can be so overwhelming and timing consuming. Taking supplements will improve your skin from the inside out. This will save you so much time and if you get the right supplement you will be amazed at the results.
